Have you ever seen a miracle? I have. Have you ever heard God speak to you? Is it possible? Yes, it is. I know firsthand because it happened to me.
I also had people personally attack me on this issue. And if any of you are like me and have had similar experiences, and have been attacked for sharing it, you're not alone. Some of my non-believing neighbors have ask me: "How can you objectively prove it?" I can't, but you can get the experience for yourself.
But he wants our faith first, then the miracles will follow. That can be your proof. In spite of all of that I've been made fun of, mocked, ridiculed, absolutely hated by many people for sharing this. I've even had some pretty vulgar things being said to me that I cannot mention. Many of them did not believe me.
But if you truly have heard from God, who cares what anyone else thinks? What matters is that you can hear from God.
Lately I have seen some crazy stuff floating around on the internet. Anywhere from technology that makes people "think" they are hearing the voice of God to new age philosophers claiming the they hear from Jesus telepathically or through channeling, to the tarot card readers claiming that Jesus spoke to them through their cards. But what about the church goers I personally knew who have witnessed that they heard from God too, but are receiving a different message? I couldn't help but see how shockingly similar their testimonies were to my account, and how the message they were receiving differentiated from the others.
So how can we know who truly did or didn't hear from him? How can we know who is or who is not making false claims? Whether you are a Christian or not, when you see people going around saying they have heard from God, felt him, and even seen him, you can't help but to question: have they really? In the age of question everything, I am going to answer a pretty difficult question. How can we know it's God?
How can we know who is telling us the truth?
A good question, and it is a question you should ask. In a world of confusion and darkness there is only one thing that can penetrate it, and that is the truth. Yet there is also deception that masquerades itself as light. So how can we know we are not being misled?
To my Christian friends as well as new agers, there are demons in the astral world that take the form of family members that have passed on, aliens, reptilians, greys, plaiedians, ascended masters. There are demons taking the form of archangel Michael. They even go so far as to masquerade as Jesus himself. Demons try to take on the form of Jesus.
But here is what Jesus said about those who truly hear his voice: "My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me."
“To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them."

How do you know, when you experience the supernatural, if you are encountering with God or a demon? This is how you know the difference.
Demons can’t fake true overwhelming loving warmth. They can only cause lust, curiosity, and a buzzy like feeling of temporary pleasure in you. They can’t create tears of joy. If you envision Jesus Christ, and you feel tears of joy, and the atmosphere which surrounds you is completely peaceful, and you have an about face from sin to God, that is a huge factor. That is when you know you have had some type of interaction with him.
On the other hand:
If you see or hear from “Jesus Christ”, and your heart isn't changed, and your life isn't changed, you didn’t see or hear from the real Jesus. You perceived a false Jesus/demon.
If you see a man to appear to look like Jesus and you aren’t completely transformed, it’s not God. So why do some think that you can see the real creator/God just like a little parlor trick? It doesn’t work that way guys. If people come up to me and tell me they saw Jesus/creator/God, and I see them comfortable in their sin, I know that they are not with Jesus, but they are with the devil, and they’ve been deceived by a false Jesus demon, and they have been tricked to believe that they are saved when they are not.
The enemy knows that if he can trick you into believing that you are walking with Jesus in your sin, you will not receive the truth.
This is a major trick. So if you think you’ve heard from God, you really have to look into yourself and ask yourself…. “Am I baring the fruit of someone that met Jesus Christ?”
There were people I have encountered with that went around claiming they have seen or heard from Jesus. And these same people also claim that they are born again when they were not. How do I know this? Because many of these people were doing things that weren’t even close. And when I became born again my life was forever changed. This is also for the people who want the proof. You’ve got to dig in and get it. I was in a world of darkness and confusion. I was bound to fear, anxiety, depression, the worldly beauty ideals, rejection, false religion, but my heart was forever transformed by the Holy Ghost. I came out of sin. And you will too if you truly have an experience with him.
Supernatural experience vs hallucinations
((But my how could you tell the difference between a voice that you think came from God, and a hallucination?))
It's simple. The life change. When God speaks to you, you will know. If God truly speaks to you, there would be no question about it. You will feel him speak to you. You would experience a loving presence. And whatever vision you may receive (or "hallucination" as some would deem it), ask yourself these questions: Does it line up with God's word? Or does it contradict? Is the atmosphere peaceful? Or does it bring fear? What fruit does it bare? Evil or good? Does it encourage you to keep God's commandments? Or to disobey them? Are you changed for life because of that experience? Or are you continuing in sin?
A hallucination cannot transform people's lives completely. It cannot heal you, bring tears of joy to you, comfort to you, or bring revelation to you. Only God can do that.
And if this is what you desire, call on his name and put your trust in him. Do the things that I previously suggested, and you will be opening the door to have those experiences and overall, a relationship.
Conclusion
So, who can we believe? When people claim that they heard from him and then get chewed up and spit out by the devil and by the world, the enemy knows what he’s doing. The enemy knows exactly what it takes to keep a person from being a true follower of Christ.
So the dividing line is this: do they keep his commandments or are they not? If someone comes to you and tries to tell you that they met Jesus, and that they heard from him, and their lives are transformed, you can rest assure that they truly had an experience with him.
But if subtle spirit tries to isolate you, get you by yourself, and fill your mind with thoughts to lead you away from the truth, you've got to realize that if they do not keep the commandments of the Lord, they don't know him, and they're liars!
"If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him."
